What will my Realtor.com
listing look like?

On
what other websites will my listing appear?
Answer:
Move.com, America Online, MSN, Microsoft Network, Netscape, Juno, Netzero,
Excite, Moving.com, The Wall Street Journal's WSJ.com website, Compuserve,
Chicago Sun-Times, IBS, and the Daily Herald website.
Who's telephone number
will appear on the Realtor.com listing?
Answer: If we made the rules for Realtor.com, your phone number would
appear on Realtor.com. Unfortunately, Realtor.com strictly prohibits
a seller's phone number or other contact information from appearing on
the listing. Therefore, our affiliate broker's contact information
appears to comply with Realtor.com rules. This enables the buyer to contact
them and arrange to see your home. Other times the buyer will drive by
your home and contact you directly if they are interested. Keep in mind
that Realtor.com is different from the MLS listing, which often will list
your phone number on the listing. Any website that says your phone number
can appear on Realtor.com is either out of date or inaccurate.
Is the information in Realtor.com the same information as in the MLS?
Answer: No, the MLS has 10 to 20 times as much information about each
property, including more details, the commission amount being offered
to the buyer's agent, and the showing instructions.
Do agents use Realtor.com to find homes for their buyers?
Answer: No. Agents use the MLS directly, which is available only to licensed
members of the MLS. It has more information about properties for sale
and updates more frequently than Realtor.com.
Is Realtor.com the same as the Realtors MLS?
Answer: No. The Realtors MLS is available only to licensed members of
the MLS. It has more information about properties for sale and updates
more frequently than Realtor.com.
Can I have a link to my own website on Realtor.com?
Answer: If we made the rules for Realtor.com, your website link would
appear on Realtor.com. Unfortunately, Realtor.com strictly prohibits
links to non-Realtor.com websites from appearing on the listing. Websites
that say your link can appear on Realtor.com are either out of date or
inaccurate. Therefore, our affiliate broker's contact information appears
to comply with Realtor.com rules. This enables the buyer to contact them
and arrange to see your home. Other times the buyer will drive by your
home and contact you directly if they are interested.
How many photos will show on my Realtor.com listing?
Answer: The answer to this question depends upon the MLS. In some areas
only one photo may appear. In other areas as many as six photos can appear
with your listing. Please see the page on this site for your specific
area to find out exactly how many photos will appear on Realtor.com, and
remember the number of photos able to be listed in the MLS is often different
than the number of photos on Realtor.com
